In a surprise move, the Baltimore Ravens have officially signed former Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander, the team announced today. The deal adds a proven playmaker to an already formidable Ravens defense.
Alexander, a two-time Pro Bowler and 2020 Second-Team All-Pro, spent six seasons with the Packers after being drafted in the first round (18th overall) in 2018. Known for his elite coverage skills and fiery competitiveness, Alexander racked up 9 interceptions, 65 pass deflections, and over 250 tackles during his time in Green Bay.
This signing gives the Ravens a major boost in the secondary, especially after struggling with injuries at the cornerback position last season. Alexander is expected to line up opposite Marlon Humphrey, creating one of the most intimidating cornerback duos in the AFC.
